Who We Are
Mission
The Tucker High School Foundation (THSF) bridges Tucker High School with the Tucker Community by promoting and recognizing academic achievements and excellence. We work year-round by raising funds to support and enhance the educational endeavors of the teachers and students of Tucker High School, helping to create an outstanding educational experience for Tucker students and showcasing a high school the broader community is proud to call Tucker.
We do this by providing grants to teachers and staff for supplemental equipment, supplies, field trips, and curricula they need to enhance education.
We also provide recognition and appreciation to staff and students who achieve great things, all while we educate our community about what a valuable asset Tucker High School is in our community.
To fulfill its mission, THSF invested more than $29,000 during the 2022-2023 school year in scholarships and grants, including:
- Two $2,000 Foundation Scholarships to graduating seniors
- A $2,000 STEM Scholarship to a graduating senior
- More than $2,800 in teacher grants for direct classroom support, including various AP class study materials and software
- $4,700 to the Vex Robotics program to attend the World Championship in Dallas, TX
- Invested $4,000 for safety improvements in the gym
- $6,600 for Teacher Appreciation events
- $4,000 for banners to highlight Tucker High School's accomplishments
- Awarded $3,300 to support various school activities like,
- Academic Signing Day
- Top 10% Banquet
- TigerCon
- Chattahoochee Nature Center Field Trip
- ESOL Reads
The Tucker High School Foundation also raised money to continue our work through our two annual fundraisers and private donations. In the 2022-2023 school year we raised:
- Over $11,000 during our Annual Casino Night Fundraiser
- Over $19,000 in our Annual Spring Golf Tournament Fundraiser
- Nearly $4,000 were received in private donations
The results have been similar in past years, including during the 2021-2022 School Year, where THSF raised:
- Nearly $2,000 in the Virtual Fall Auction
- Over $17,000 in its Annual Spring Golf Tournament
- Nearly $3000 in private donations
We also awarded scholarships and grants in 2021-2022, including:
- Two $2000 scholarships to graduating seniors
- A $2000 scholarship to a graduating senior focusing on STEM
- $3000 to the Vex Robotics Program to attend the World Championship in Dallas
- More than $1000 in teacher grants for classroom projects
- Invested more than $3500 in teacher appreciation
We raise funds to support the above activities through two major fundraisers each year--our annual THSF Casino Night in the fall and our THSF Spring Golf Tournament.
We welcome and encourage the community's participation as participants, partners, and/or sponsors.
Scholarships
Every year, the Tucker High School Foundation awards three scholarships to graduating seniors of Tucker High School: one STEM scholarship and two general scholarships.
Applications are closed for the 2023/2024 school year.
Supporting Teachers and Enhancing Learning Experiences
We work hard to provide grants to teachers and staff for supplemental equipment, supplies, field trips, and curricula they need to enhance their students' educational experience.
Fundraising Events
THSF hosts two major fundraisers each school year. In the fall we host Casino Night in Tucker and in the spring we host a golf tournament at Stone Mountain Golf Club.
Community Partners
We are proud to partner with a variety of organizations and businesses to support our community. Our partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide even more resources and services to those in need.
